The Bran Castle / Village of Bran

The Bran Castle is the only place attracting hundreds of thousands of tourists because of a legend: Count Dracula's Legend. Initially, it was known under the name of Dietrichstein and was built by the Teuton Knights Order in the year 1212. It was first mentioned in documents as early as 1377 when the inhabitants of Brasov recived from Louis d'Anjou the first the right to build the fortress on the site when the former fortress used to be.
